Amber Vineyard

LMC: Tell us a bit about your background—where are you from and where did you go to college?

Amber: I’m originally from Atwater, California, but came to Elkins in 2008 to study at Davis & Elkins College. I graduated in 2010 with a business and marketing degree before working at the Inter-Mountain and Citizens Bank. In 2011, I joined Orion Strategies where I spent the majority of my career up until this point.

LMC: Can you elaborate on your career journey before now?

Amber: Absolutely— when I started at Orion Strategies, I came in as a Junior Account Manager. I assisted with a number of grassroots and grasstops campaigns and public projects. I continued to expand my role over the years, managing my own clients and entire local, state and regional campaigns. As the firm continued to expand its footprint, I moved into the Chief Operations Officer role and was the North Central West Virginia Lead Director. In that capacity, I coordinated the company’s strategic growth and training and continued to build and manage a client base.

During my time at Orion, I worked on countless strategic campaigns for clients, crafting creative ways to change public perception with layered communications, and managed millions of dollars in television advertising, digital media, billboards, direct mail, and other marketing methods.

LMC: What are you working on these days at LMC?

Amber: These days, I am loving getting to work with our clients and this team to deliver amazing, high-quality services. From social-media to strategic planning, this crew does it all– and they have a blast doing it! I’m also discovering all the moving pieces that make this agency tick and finding ways to elevate our systems and processes to continue moving us forward!

Discussing ideas

LMC: When thinking long term, what are some areas of focus for you at LMC?

Amber: I think growth for both our clients and for LMC! There is an incredibly knowledgeable team here and we have so much to offer. I feel that just about every week we are discovering other marketable talents that we can provide for our clients. That’s just going to continue to build momentum and opportunity.

In addition, stability is extremely important for any organization and being in a position to provide that for our staff is very rewarding. It’s really exciting to be a part of this growing agency!

LMC: When you’re not working at LMC, how do you spend your time?

Amber: I’ve worked with several community organizations over the years and currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce and the Woodlands Development Group. I try to catch as many Davis & Elkins softball games as I can and engage with those young ladies. I’m an avid runner and love being outside and playing sports. And of course, our pets—we have three dogs, two cats and two horses– keep us busy!

The LMC Team just crushing it.

Amber brings tremendous experience, ambition, and enthusiasm to the team and we’re thrilled to have her on board. We’re sure you’ll see her around town!
