Our Elkins-based strategic marketing agency is seeking a full-time Social Media Strategist to join our Client Service Team and lead, build, and execute strategic communications across our clients’ social media platforms, continually innovating outreach and identifying opportunities to tap into new platforms.

What We’re Seeking:

Someone who has a passion for social media, integrated marketing, and the ever-changing algorithms that drive online social interactions. The person for this role understands building a brand strategy on social media that resonates with a client’s audience on those platforms. They can spot and analyze trends (not just hot TikTok sounds, but changes in the algorithm and shifts in interactions) to strategically plan messaging and creative content, and aren’t afraid to explore new platforms, placements, and tactics. This person must be grounded in processes to keep up with the constant changes and demands of social media while ensuring quality isn’t sacrificed.

A Closer Look At The Job:

As a Social Media Strategist, you will own the analysis of a client’s social media performance, content calendar planning, and the social media marketing strategies required to meet and grow a client’s audience. A successful candidate will possess skills including a love for strategic integrated marketing, a deep understanding and appreciation of social media algorithms, the knack to navigate constantly changing platforms, proficiency in social media writing, and the ability to manage time and juggle a multitude of tasks efficiently.

Day-to-day duties:

  • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications plans on a client’s social media channels.
  • Own the social media strategy for a book of clients in alignment with their overall marketing goals.
  • Develop content calendars – social media posts and identifying (not creating) strategic creative content – to support the client’s goals.
  • Replicating the client’s style and voice in writing on LinkedIn (thought leadership ghostwriting)
  • Align marketing strategies to audience needs and other defined target segments.
  • Identify proper times, channels, voices, tone, and creatives to use in alignment with platforms and results.
  • Explore and recommend new channels/placements based on platform changes and results.
  • Own social reporting: dashboards, weekly/monthly performance recaps, insights, and recommendations.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Proficient in project, task, and deadline management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong social media post writing and editing skills
Familiarity with core social media channels and platforms
A willingness to learn and adapt to continual platform changes
An always-be-learning attitude
