As LMC begins our second decade in business and we aspire to grow by meeting our clients’ strategic marketing needs, we recognize the importance of continuously elevating our creative function.
In November 2024, we hired David Moscati as our first Creative Director. David brings exceptional design skills and experience in both agency and marketing leadership roles to the position.
We caught up with David to learn more about his career journey, his plans for the creative side of the house, and his interests outside of the office.
LMC: Tell us a bit about your background—where are you from, and where did you go to college?
David: I grew up in Maryland, and my family still lives there, so I’ll always have a soft spot for that area. Since childhood, I’ve had an interest in art and illustration, and later, I began to merge my creative outlets into design. I received my degree in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art & Design and ended up living and working in Savannah for a couple of years post-college.
LMC: Can you elaborate on your career journey before joining the LMC team?
David: Throughout my 15 years’ experience in branding and marketing, I’ve held positions at both small boutique branding studios and large marketing agencies. It was at the larger agencies where I realized I felt the greatest sense of purpose. Being a part of an agency where I could develop creative teams and mentor designers became the most rewarding part of my job.
After I started my own brand studio where I focused on brand strategy, consulting, and coaching, I realized I wanted to be a part of a team again where I could have a positive impact on other team members’ professional growth. That’s why the opportunity to join LMC was so attractive to me.
LMC: What are you working on these days at LMC?
David: Having documented processes is a real strength of LMC, and I want to expand that further within the creative function. Since I arrived, I’ve been working to establish new creative processes for the team. Internally, I’ve been reviewing creative and providing insights to set new standards for the agency’s design approach and execution.
I’m also working directly with clients to better understand their goals and determine how LMC can best assist them through our creative expertise and offerings.
LMC: When thinking long-term, what are some areas of focus for you at LMC?
David: I really want to make a difference in how LMC approaches creative problem-solving. My long-term goal at LMC is to help lead and elevate the agency’s creative output. I strive to nurture an environment that is both innovative and creative while inspiring the team to find its creative voice.
LMC: When you’re not working at LMC, how do you spend your time?
David: I have a lot of hobbies. When I’m not spending time with my family, I’m usually reading, visiting a bookstore, or looking up new books to order. I have more books than I could possibly read in a lifetime, but that won’t stop me from buying another one.
Having a quiet morning with coffee or an evening with something stronger to drink, my cat draped over me in some fashion, and a book in my hand—that’s my idea of relaxation.
